
Kyangwithya West Ward in Kitui Central Constituency could be headed for a generational shift in leadership ahead of the 2027 General Elections following the entry of youthful aspirant Hon. Alfred Kimanzi into the race for Member of County Assembly (MCA) seat.
The young and energetic leader who hails from Unyaa has officially declared his intention to vie for the Kyangwithya West Ward MCA position, a seat that is expected to fall vacant in the upcoming elections. The current MCA, Hon. Christopher Nzilu Nzioka, popularly known as Kamwana Ka Wia, has already expressed interest in contesting for the Kitui Central parliamentary seat as he seeks to succeed the incumbent MP Dr. Makali Mulu.
Hon. Alfred Kimanzi’s entry into the race has sparked discussions among residents, with many viewing him as part of a new generation of leaders eager to bring fresh ideas and people-centered leadership to the ward.
Speaking exclusively to Ukambani News Hub, Hon. I believe our ward deserves leadership that listens to the people, delivers development, and stands firm for our interests,” he said.
