National Liberal Party (NLP) leader Dr. Augustus Kyalo Muli is set to host the much-anticipated Kitui Summit 2026, a high-level forum that is expected to bring together political leaders, professionals, opinion leaders, and residents from across Ukambani and beyond to deliberate on the region’s future.

The summit, scheduled for Saturday June 27, 2026, at Kitui Stadium, will be held under the theme “The Kamba Future, Our Terms,” a slogan that reflects the need for the Kamba community to take charge of its political, economic, and social destiny.

According to the event’s agenda, the summit will convene national and local leaders, political party leaders from the Ukambani region, elected leaders, and Kenyans of goodwill for discussions centered on development, governance, unity, and the future direction of the region.

Dr. Kyalo Muli, who has in recent years emerged as a prominent political voice in Ukambani, is expected to lead conversations on how the region can leverage its resources, strengthen its political influence, and accelerate socio-economic development ahead of the 2027 General Election.
