Gladys Kivoto Spreads Joy and Culture Across Ikanga/Kyatune Ward Over the Weekend By Gracing Several Vibrant Cultural and Family Events

Kitui County Chief Officer for Agriculture, Hon. Gladys Mami Kivoto, spent her weekend deeply embedded in Ikanga/Kyatune Ward, gracing several vibrant cultural and family events while uplifting women through her signature gesture sharing African lessos.

Her first stop was at Ithumula Village in Ikanga, where she attended the spirited Ndwae Ngone Mwaitu (Parents Visitation) ceremony for Joycaster Mumina, the Ikanga/Kyatune Ward Administrator. Hon. Kivoto not only supported the event but also left the women in attendance beaming with joy after gifting each one a beautiful African leso. She urged parents to remain steadfast in educating and mentoring the youth, noting that “a well-guided young generation is the key to a brighter, more prosperous future.”

Later in the day, Hon. Kivoto proceeded to Kivunu Village in Makele for the pre-wedding and dowry ceremony of Robert and Florence. Once again, her generosity shone through, she supported the event financially and continued her tradition of distributing lessos to women present, spreading warmth and smiles.

Her final engagement for the day took her to Mauluni Village in Makele, where she attended the introduction ceremony of Mbesa and Emmanuel Maleve (Hopkin). Here, she was joined by the Kitui County Executive Committee Member for Sports, Culture, and Youths, waziri Phoebe Mutemi. True to form, Hon. Kivoto made the occasion memorable by gifting lessos to the women in attendance, creating an atmosphere of unity and celebration.
