During the visit, the Deputy Governor conveyed Governor Malombe’s message of condolence, hope, and solidarity to residents of Kwa Kamari, assuring them that the county government stands firmly with them during the difficult period.

The county government donated a total of Ksh. 625,000 to support seven bereaved families and two other families whose relatives sustained injuries during the deadly attack and are currently receiving treatment at Mwingi Level IV Hospital.

We shall continue supporting them and ensuring they receive the assistance they need during this painful moment,” said the Deputy Governor.

Kanani also commended the National Police Service for operationalizing the Kwa Kamari Police Station, a facility constructed by the County Government of Kitui during the 2024/2025 financial year. He said the move would significantly enhance security in the area and help restore confidence among residents.
