Hon. Irene Kasalu Condoles with the Family of the Late Makuthu Kalu at Ithumula Village, Zombe, Kitui East
Today, Kitui County Woman Representative and 2027 Gubernatorial aspirant, Hon. Dr. Irene Kasalu, condoled with the family of the late Makuthu Kalu at Ithumula Village in Zombe-Mwitika Ward, Kitui East Constituency.
Hon. Kasalu was represented at the burial by Mr. Mathias Kano from her office, who delivered her heartfelt condolence message to the bereaved family. Speaking during the burial ceremony, Kano emphasized that Hon. Irene Kasalu stood in solidarity with the family during this difficult period and extended her support to the family.
The late Makuthu Kalu was eulogized as a humble and principled man, whose life of integrity touched many people across Ithumula and beyond. Mourners described him as a pillar of strength whose memory will remain in the hearts of many.
Hon. Irene Kasalu also spoke to the mourners through a phone call, where she expressed her deep sorrow and offered words of comfort.
“I want to send my sincere condolences to the family of Makuthu and the people of Ngungi. I really wished to join you today for the burial of Mzee, but due to unavoidable work commitments, I could not make it. I promise to personally visit the family to convey my condolences. Once again, I am sorry for the loss. May you find comfort during this difficult time,” she said.
Hon. Irene Kasalu has consistently demonstrated compassion by standing with the people of Kitui County both in moments of celebration and in times of grief. Her commitment to serving the community continues to put her as a frontrunner in the 2027 Kitui Gubernatorial race on a Wiper Patriotic Front Party ticket.
