In a major highlight of the day, Mutea publicly declared his support for the 2027 gubernatorial bid of the current Kitui Woman Representative, Hon. Dr. Irene Kasalu. He described her as a capable, focused, development-oriented and a leader with a track record who understands the needs of the people and has consistently demonstrated commitment to service. “I believe the county requires focused and accessible leadership going forward. After wide consultations, I have resolved to support Hon. Irene Kasalu in her bid for the gubernatorial seat in 2027, and I believe she has what it takes to steer Kitui County to greater heights.” Mutea stated.
