Hon. Gladys Mami Kivoto Donates 30 Bags of Cement for Kaluluini Deliverance Church Construction in Honour of Late Mzee Zakayo Mbososo

Kitui South incoming Member of Parliament Hon. Gladys Mami Kivoto has pledged to donate 30 bags of cement towards the construction of Kaluluini Deliverance Church International in Kalivu, Athi Ward, in honour of the late Mzee Zakayo Mulwa Mbososo, whose generosity and commitment to the church and community were celebrated during his funeral.

The pledge was made on Saturday, July 18, 2026, during the burial ceremony of Mzee Zakayo Mbososo at Kaluluini Village, Makaaie Sub-location, Kalivu, Athi Ward. Mzee Mbososo passed away at the age of 97 and was remembered as a humble, selfless and devoted community elder who dedicated much of his life to serving both the church and local residents.

Addressing mourners, Hon. Kivoto announced that she would donate 30 bags of cement to support the completion of the church, acknowledging the late Mzee Mbososo’s contribution after he donated the parcel of land on which the church is currently being constructed.

She described the donation as a gesture of appreciation for his unwavering faith and commitment to the growth of the church, saying his kindness should continue to inspire future generations.

Beyond his contribution to the church, Mzee Mbososo was also praised for promoting youth development through sports after voluntarily donating another parcel of land to Kaluluini Football Club for use as its permanent playing ground.

In recognition of this remarkable act of generosity, Hon. Kivoto also donated a playing soccer ball to Kaluluini FC and pledged to provide the team with a complete set of football jerseys branded with the name “Zakayo Mbososo” to preserve his legacy and ensure his contribution to the community is never forgotten.

Residents and church members welcomed the donations, noting that the support would accelerate the construction of the church while also motivating young people through sports.
