Over 20 students graduated from Jubilee College on Friday, December 5, 2025, during its 2nd graduation ceremony. The event marked an important milestone for the institution, with students receiving certificates and diplomas across various disciplines in the School of Engineering and the School of Business, reaffirming the college’s growing role in developing Kenya’s industry-ready workforce.

The colorful ceremony, held at the college’s grounds in Kitui Town, Kitui Central Constituency, drew hundreds of parents, community members, and several distinguished guests.

In his address, Principal Mr. Hillary Musyoka congratulated the graduands and reaffirmed the institution’s dedication to innovation, curriculum modernization, and strong industry alignment. He praised the graduates for their determination and resilience throughout their studies.

Mr. Musyoka also appealed to the government to extend financial assistance to private institutions like Jubilee College. He noted that unlike public colleges, private institutions do not benefit from government sponsorship, and their students are often excluded from key funding avenues such as HELB loans.

He urged the government to offer equal support to students in private colleges, emphasizing that they, too, are Kenyan citizens and taxpayers deserving of similar opportunities. “Private institutions lack sponsorship, yet their students are also Kenyan citizens and taxpayers,” he said. “I urge the government to consider extending support to these students just as it does for those in public institutions.”

The college’s founder, Mr. Lazarus Nzomo, congratulated the graduates and encouraged them to uphold the positive values instilled in them during their time at Jubilee College. He called on them to actively contribute to the development and transformation of Kitui County and the country at large.

The College Director, Madam Janet Lazarus, also commended the students for their hard work and perseverance, expressing confidence that the knowledge and skills they acquired would be instrumental in their future careers and endeavors.

Chief Guest Bishop Paul Makau lauded the graduates and encouraged them to apply their skills to build meaningful lives and make positive contributions to society.
