Senator Beth Syengo Attended Hon. Mark Nding’o’s Thanksgiving Ceremony and Foundation Launch
ODM Nominated Senator Hon. Dr. Beth Syengo and aspirant for Kitui County Women Representative in 2027 joined a host of Kitui leaders and residents for a vibrant Grand Thanksgiving Ceremony and Midterm Scorecard Review for Yatta/Kwa Vonza MCA, Hon. Mark Kitute Nding’o. The event, held at Hon. Nding’o’s Mamole rural home in Kiusyani, Kitui Rural Constituency, also featured the official launch of the Mark Kitute Nding’o Foundation.

In her keynote address, Senator Beth Syengo lauded Hon. Nding’o for his dedicated service to the people of Yatta/Kwa Vonza Ward, highlighting his achievements in development, leadership, and grassroots empowerment. She specifically commended his efforts in championing education for disadvantaged but bright students through his newly launched foundation.
The Mark Kitute Nding’o Foundation aims to uplift academically gifted students from needy backgrounds within the ward, providing them with scholarships and mentorship support. Hon. Nding’o emphasized that education remains one of the most powerful tools to break the cycle of poverty and promote social equity. “I am committed to ensuring that no bright child in Yatta/Kwa Vonza is left behind due to lack of school fees. This foundation is my way of giving back and ensuring a better future for our youth,” said Hon. Nding’o during the launch.

Senator Syengo also used the occasion to affirm her intention to run for the Kitui County Women Representative seat in 2027. She pledged to prioritize empowerment of women, youth, and the marginalized, building on her track record in the Senate.

The event drew a strong political and community presence, including Kitui County Governor H.E. Dr. Julius Malombe, Kitui Central MP Dr. Makali Mulu, former Kitui Rural MP Charles Nyamai, several Kitui MCAs, and a large gathering of local residents. The leaders collectively praised Hon. Nding’o for his transparent leadership and midterm accomplishments.
The thanksgiving ceremony marked both a personal and political milestone for Hon. Nding’o, as he not only reviewed his developmental achievements midway through his term but also laid the groundwork for a legacy centered around education and social welfare.
