UDA Administrator Bryan Tsaul Calls for Massive Turnout Ahead of the party’s Grassroots Elections in Kitui

Kitui County United Democratic Alliance (UDA) administrator Hon. Bryan Tsaul has called on residents of Kitui County to turn out in large numbers for the upcoming UDA grassroots elections set to take place tomorrow on Thursday, April 23, 2026.

Speaking to the media ahead of the exercise, Tsaul said the elections will be conducted across all constituencies and wards in Kitui County at every Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) gazetted polling centre.

According to the UDA Party administrator in the County, the voting exercise will begin at 8:00 a.m. and conclude at 5:00 p.m., with all registered voters in their respective polling stations eligible to participate in the democratic process.

Tsaul emphasized that the grassroots elections are a significant step in strengthening internal democracy within political parties and enhancing citizen participation in governance.

He noted that UDA, as a national party, remains committed to inclusivity, transparency, and democratic leadership through its Bottom-Up Economic Transformation Agenda (BETA). “Kenya is a democracy and we want political parties with a national presence like UDA to continue strengthening democratic processes. Our polling station elections are the clearest manifestation that UDA indeed believes in the BETA approach to governance and democracy,” said Tsaul.

The UDA county administrator urged women, youth, religious leaders, professionals, farmers, traders, and members of the business community to actively participate in the exercise. “I call upon our women, men, youth, religious teachers, professionals, small and medium business community, farmers and all wananchi to come out in large numbers,” Tsaul added.

He described the elections as an opportunity for wananchi to directly shape the leadership structure of the party from the grassroots level.

Hon. Tsaul expressed confidence that the exercise would be peaceful, transparent, and successful, while encouraging eligible voters to maintain order and unity throughout the day.

The UDA grassroots elections are expected to attract thousands of participants across Kitui County as the ruling party seeks to strengthen its grassroots structures ahead of the 2027 general elections.
